I strongly oppose the proposed 56-hour cap. This policy demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of the daily realities faced by individuals with severe disabilities. Their needs cannot be neatly scheduled into standard 8-hour workdays or typical 9-to-5 shifts—care is required around the clock.
This is a deeply insensitive proposal, and I strongly urge you to reject it. If this cap is implemented, I may be forced to consider group home placement for my child, as managing their care at home under these restrictions will simply be impossible.
