Banning trans people from sports is wrong. It denies children the chance to be part of a team. Also, trans people don’t have a physical advantage once you account for hormone therapy. And the ban treats all sports the same, from soccer to darts, from volleyball to chess — each sport already has fairness guidelines. These bans are a huge overreach.

This ban would negatively impact cis kids too. Not every body conforms to gender expectations, so bills like this end up causing cis kids to be bullied if they don’t look like a gender stereotype.
