I wholeheartedly oppose this petition

It is dangerous to set a precedent of segregating people from a certain type of "space". Not only is it harmful toward transgender women and girls, but cisgender women and girls would be subject to the same scrutiny.

You can never 100% tell if someone is transgender or cisgender, so how many cisgender women with short hair and deep voices will be harassed in these spaces if this petition took effect? Would a cisgender girl with a pixie cut and who is a 6'0 volleyball or basketball player be deemed "male" and kicked out?

How on earth is something like this enforceable in a way that would not cause harm or violence toward someone, and why is this considered something "urgent" to public health? There are REAL public health issues facing all women and girls in Virginia, like domestic violence, maternal health, and poverty--those should be the true focus here.

As a born-and-raised Virginian from Warren County, I wholeheartedly oppose this petition.
