If the petitioners were to at all do their due diligence, they would find that the average testosterone levels of a trans women after 2-3 cycles of HRT (via either estradiol or progesterone) are identical to those of the average cis woman (average levels being 15-70 ng/dL). Beyond that, most trans women experience a sizeable amount of muscle atrophy due to this process. I am in firm belief that had the people who are in support of this bill bothered to look at the numbers, they would find no discernible difference. My job is to study medicine and the effects on the human body, and I find the argument that trans women have an innate advantage over their competitors is one that is rooted in hate and prejudice, rather than scientific data.
