This significant hike places an undue financial burden on nurses, many of us are already struggling to keep up with the rising cost of living. Nurses dedicate their careers to patient care, often working long hours under demanding conditions. Yet, wages have barely kept pace with inflation, and many nurses find themselves stretched thin financially. Increasing licensure fees by nearly 65% only adds to this strain, especially when we are already facing higher costs for essentials such as housing, groceries, and transportation. Nurses should not have to choose between maintaining their licensure and meeting their basic financial needs.
