The fee as it stands is already heinous when considering the dire need for RNs throughout the country; an increase is a slap in the face. $240 is a significant amount for many RNs, especially with cost of living skyrocketing without our wages following suit. No nurse should have to budget just to keep his/her license. We earn our licenses through our schooling, ongoing education, and experience. The government should be paying us an incentive to continue to renew despite the abuses we face.
