If cost of living pay increases occurred across the board then I may not be as upset but with my pay at 21 years of nursing being just a few dollars different from the new hires I am not happy about this increase.  This is one of many reasons there is a shortage because nurses are tired of working for nothing, no recognition, and enduring abuse by their organization as well as the patients.
