The proposed licensure increase is a big step in the wrong direction. There has been an increase in everything else. We have to pay for our CEUs as well as everything else we have to do to make ends meet in the workplace for clinical ladders and things if those are offered. This is way out of line! The cost of living is going up and this is going to make nurses want to leave the practice of nursing when there is already a shortage of nurses. You really need to reconsider. I mean what does increasing the license due? Nothing! Put the money in someone else’s pocket when we’re already struggling to make ends meet and some are working two jobs!
