Kratom must be kept legal. It is a safer alternative to opioids for pain management and does not cause respiratory depression, the main factor that leads to opioid overdose. 

Kratom has helped me with severe GI pain that I have had my whole life. Without kratom, I would not be able to function at work. It is important for kratom to remain legal to be able to have safe access and to be further studied for benefits and potential risks, not blanket banned.
