I wish to inform you that you have been misinformed about the nature of kratom. The term “lethal dose“ really does not apply to kratom anymore than the “lethal dose“ of water or salt. Yet too much of either of the latter two can kill you.  I suppose one could choke to death on kratom or put their body into some kind of imbalance as with salt and water, but kratom does not cause an OD in the way heroin or opiates do.

I also wish to make it extremely clear to you, kratom does not cause a high or buzz the way drugs or alcohol causes it. It’s more like the peaceful feeling you get when the herb st johns wort takes the edge off your anxiety. It may give you a bit of energy in the same way coffee does which isn’t surprising since kratom is related to coffee plant.  

It is true that kratom reacts on the same receptors as heroin. That is a fact. Please recall chocolate reacts on the same receptors of the brain that sexual stimulus reacts on. I’m pretty sure you can tell the difference between having sex and eating chocolate.  

One of the spectacular things about kratom triggering those opiate receptors, is it takes the extreme edge off of withdrawal when one tries to quit an opioid addiction, without the often fatal depressing of one’s ability to breath.  It’s helped many people leave drugs behind. I have witnessed that personally with a dear friend. 

I myself have never used drugs, I don’t even drink coffee. But I started using kratom to cut down my use of over-the-counter pain pills such as Tylenol and ibuprofen. Both of those are bad for your liver, and kratom is not. 

And yes you may say the FDA gave you that information, but I think if you did any research you would quickly find that the FDA is often used by the very powerful pharmaceutical companies to block the use of non profitable natural medical aids, while attempting to profit on the very same vilified herbs and natural products they attack.  Check out the patents that have been taken out on the substances found in kratom.
