Kratom is a cousin of the coffee plant. It is a tea leaf. I have known people with debilitating chronic pain, who have become addicted to lethal, Dr prescribed pharmaceuticals, including fentanyl.

Drinking Kratom tea resulted in them quitting those lethal, life destroying drugs, including alcohol, & they have now become healthy, functional, physically active members of society. Please do not criminalize plants. Especially a tea leaf.

Also, I recommend reading the statistics on the mass amounts of people who have quit drinking alcohol and completely turned their lives around.

What about the scientists whose life work has been to study the kratom plant? I highly suggest reading their substantiated findings. Kratom saves lives! I think you need to talk to people directly, who have suffered from life threatening pain, myself included.
