I have serious concerns about the accessibility of these products to young people. Despite recent laws to make sale to those under 21, it still easy to purchase by those without full judgment.  The advertisements and packaging look far too appealing.

From VDH: In 2011 Poison Control Centers received 13 calls about kratom. This rose to 682 in 2017, and two-thirds of the 1807 kratom-related calls between 2011–2017 happened in 2016 and 2017.    

The BOP should seriously consider moving Kratom to schedule I.
