I suffered many broken bones  5 years ago. Since then I have safely and responsibily used kratom rather than taking awful opiate prescriptions. It has allowed me to continue to live a normal life. Without kratom I would be in debilitating pain every day, my quality of life would reduce dramatically, and my ability to provide for my family would be reduced to an unmanageable state.

This has prevented me from being subjected to the many many side effects of those horrible prescription medications. Kratom is perfectly safe when used responsibly, like the overwhelming majority of us do.

The American Kratom Association tried to introduce the Kratom Consumer Protection Act in Virginia which would have strictly regulated this natural medicine. Instead the bill eas shot down. Yet now those who shot down that very bill that would have safely regulated this plant would rather ban it completely and leave many many chronic pain patients without any safe aid. 

We do NOT want to be subjected to extremely harmful prescription medications when we can instead use a perfectly safe and natural plant.

There have been ZERO deaths attributed to kratom solely!! Every single case has been proven to have some other cause linked with it. Usually the true cause turns out to be some harmful medication that remains perfectly legal and uncontested.

Please do not turn your backs on us. We asked for help regulating with the KPCA and it was declined. Depriving us completely is inhumane and irresponsible.
