Action Summary |
During the 2017 General Assembly session, Senate Bill 1216 amended §4.1-111 of the Code of Virginia (“Code”) to include a subsection mandating the Board to promulgate a regulation requiring mixed beverage licensees to have food, cooked or prepared on the licensed premises, available for on-premises consumption until at least 30 minutes prior to an establishment's closing, and that such food shall be available in all areas of the licensed premises in which spirits are sold or served. The proposed regulation change will amend 3VAC5-50-110(D) to include an additional subsection that will require a mixed beverage licensee to have food available for on-premises consumption until at least 30 minutes prior to closing. |
