Bryant & Stratton College Nursing Program Supports Increased Fees

To protect the public, the Virginia Board of Nursing has had to increase staff and expenditures involved with disciplinary and regulatory actions. In order to be completely self-supporting, the Virginia Board of Nursing has studied and proposed the need for increasing licensure fees. To protect the professional standards, every nurse has a stake in public protection. For that reason, Bryant & Stratton College nursing program supports the proposed increase in licensure fees.

Nursing Fee increase

I hope students with low budget can understand these changes and it brings up a positive result to everyone and a benefit to all.

Education needs to be affordable

While the proposal to increase the fees seems to be in the better interest of sustainabilty of higher education, please make sure that deserving students would have access to scholarships so that they are not denied the chance to build thier dreams in this great country!

too many problems with poor service for any fee increase

I am told "to protect the public, the Virginia Board of Nursing has had to increase staff and expenditures involved with disciplinary and regulatory actions. In order to be completely self-supporting, the Virginia Board of Nursing has studied and proposed the need for increasing licensure fees "  It all sounds good however this occurs while the rest of the working world is asked to do more with less.  How about auditing the service that is given?  Trying to renew my license on line this year was not the easy task one would expect.   The site was non-functional for the 4 consecutive days I tried repeatedly, on multiple computers to access.   Then I was told there was "no problems" with the site.  Several other nurses I spoke to had the same problem trying to renew.   How can you possibly call this good service?   Worse yet, one of my nurse friends had her credit card number taken and multiple unauthorized charges were made.  So how are we to feel safe in accessing this online registration?   Until these problems are corrected,  I am ADAMANTLY AGAINST ANY FEE INCREASE.   You fix these problems first.    TyI am told "to protect the public, the Virginia Board of Nursing has had to increase staff and expenditures involved with disciplinary and regulatory actions.
