No compelling reason

I fail to see a compelling reason to require continuing education credits except to follow the practices of other states. The Commonwealth of Virginia can do better! Keeping current in the field and abreast of emerging technologies and issues is a personal responsibility and should not be in the purview of government.

Additionally, the proposed text changes are not clear. Besides the discussion of college courses there is no explanation of what meets the criteria of board-approved continuing education activities.  It is also unclear who qualifies as a sponsor.
