I strongly oppose the proposed amendments to Virginia’s Medicaid waiver programs. These services are essential for individuals with disabilities, seniors, and families who depend on daily assistance to remain safe and independent in their homes. Any changes that could limit access to care or reduce services would place an unfair burden on vulnerable individuals and their families. Instead of creating more barriers, Virginia should focus on protecting and improving access to these critical services. I urge DMAS to reconsider these proposed changes and prioritize the well-being of those who rely on these programs every day.
