I am concerned about the proposed changes to Virginia’s Medicaid waiver programs. Many people depend on these services just to get through their daily routines safely. For some families, having a caregiver come into the home makes all the difference. Making it harder to receive care or limiting the support available could leave families with very few options. We should be finding ways to help people stay in their homes, not making it more difficult. I hope state officials will consider how these decisions affect real people and reconsider any changes that could negatively impact those who need care the most.
