FRONTAGE ROADS (REPEALED)

Description: The regulations governing frontage roads establish the policy whereby the department will construct frontage or service roads. The department will construct such roads where the existing or anticipated traffic needs, right of way, etc. justify the project, within the funds available. The department will cooperate with others where frontage roads have not been built to construct such roads to promote highway safety, or to provide for location or public utilities. The department will also assist if the frontage road construction will provide a significant public service and eliminate undesirable entry and exit by establishing properly spaced access points.
