Vote Not to Part II of the Virginia Stormwater Management Regulations

Members of the Soil and Water Conservation Board,

I am a lifelong resident of Virginia and have worked as a civil engineer in the field of land development for more than 15 years.  The current regulations for development adequately protect the Chesapeake Bay.  More effort should be put forth in enforcing the existing regulations and reducing the pollutant load from agricultural sources.  As written, Part II of the new regulations will contribute to sprawl and have a serious negative impact on Virginia's economic future.

I respectfully request that you do not enact Part II of the regulations unless it can be significantly modified to protect Virginia's economic future.

Sincerely,

Steven M. Worthington, P.E.
