Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

XY and XX - it’s science y’all; GOD says so!

I’m tired of the overkill and overt measures to inject social agendas into our children's Educational curriculum. Transgender students already have enough protection from bullying and harassment via the Anti-Bullying structures and systems in the school. It is beyond the realm of ridiculousness to think that teaching the FALSE indoctrination of multiple genders outside of XY and XX makes any logical or good sense. It is rather promoting confusion and abusing the naïveté and pliability of impressionable school-age children. I understand that is exactly your intention...to exploit the naïveté of these children with a false notion of gender fluidity. It’s anti-science and it’s anti-humankind, not to  mention anti-God. Enough already. Let parents teach their kids as they will on social issues at home, at Girl Scout meetings, wherever...but keep your inane, insane and unnatural ideas out of the educational system. Male and female. That’s it. No more. No less. Protect all the students. Advocate for all students equally. You cannot give special treatment to one student to the detriment of all the others. Think about it. You cannot elevate one theory or social agenda to the ousting or canceling of another point of view.  Why should a biological male be undressing in a girls’ bathroom?  Why should boys give space to a biological male who identifies as female in their locker room? What about the rights of ALL the other students in the room?  Stop pushing this agenda. It’s dangerous and fringe thinking and is not appropriate in the public school system. Period.
