AIA push has arrived

I am a University Architect at a state university and maintain a small private practice and have no time for required courses.  I am totally against this proposed regulation. I get enough CE from working with other consulting A/E's every day.  A one hour course take 4 hours out of day.  I am not nor ever have been an AIA member for personal and financial reasons.  Many years ago when the AIA ws strapped for money they instituted CE as a requirement for continuing membership as a means to raise money. I predicted then that making a statewide push would soon come.  As a non-AIA member I would pay the higher price for their training seminars.  I have been to a couple and found them minimalistic.  If this passes ,I will not get my CE hours from any AIA courses, so alternatives have to be provided for those of us who are proud to use RA after our names.
