Support Carbon Cap and Trade

I am writing to ask the DEQ to support strong "cap and trade" regulations to limit carbon emissions from power plants.

Our federal government has abdicated responsibility by failing to acknowledge climate change and mitigate its consequences, which are already underway.  Fortunately, responsible cities and states are stepping up to the plate in taking environmentally responsible actions in the absence of federal leadership.  Virginia now has opportunity to join the ranks of leaders by joining neighbor states in capping and trading carbon emissions. Such actions will also begin to prepare Virginia for the economy of the future, which will be based on carbon-neutral technologies.

Please do the responsible and wise thing: support strong cap and trade.
