As an Occupational therapist and having a background in Acupuncture I believe that dry needling is Acupuncture and should not be written in to a PT's current scope of practice. This is not their training. Dry needling is Acupuncture. PT's use Acupuncture needles to penetrate the skin. This is Acupuncture and not PT.
