Dry needling is acupuncture, is not in PT practice scope

I am a Professor who has been teaching Acupuncture including “Dry needling” more than 15 years in America. Dry needing is a kind of basic technique of acupuncturist, is not in PT practice scope. A licensed Acupuncturist has much more training and understating of dry needling (a part of Acupuncture), compared to other professionals who have basic or close to no training. An Acupuncturist undergoes 3,000 hours of Acupuncture study to qualify for board exams. A 50 hour seminar simply does not compare and is not acceptable to qualify any medical professional of other trades to needle patients. We have to consider patients safety and the Acupuncture regulations. It is clear that dry needling is a part of acupuncture, but it is a basic training in Acupuncture College in China and the USA.
