I oppose this regulation

I oppose this regulation. Laws are primarily passed to punish lawbreakers, and any deterrent effect they might have is only a by-product. Since anyone who might be inclined to shoot up a government office is unlikely to be deterred by a law prohibiting firearms in the target area, the net effect will be to infringe the rights of many thousands of legal, responsible gun owners while having a negligible (if any) effect on lawbreakers.
