The Governor's gun ban proposal removes the ability for self protection!  When private guns are banned, only the criminals will have guns!!  Where in the world has common sense gone?  Criminals don't care about rules and regulations that are SUPPOSED  to protect us, the general population, from crimes.  Just look at the statistics on gun violence and gun related deaths in the cities and states that have the most stringent gun laws....they also have the highest number of murders and injuries involving guns, many of them stolen.   When private citizens have no way to protect themselves, it will be open season for criminal-involved murders, injuries, and robberies.   I read somewhere that the only reason Japan did not follow up on Pearl Harbor with an attack on the continental US was that Japanese leaders realized that millions of US citizens owned guns, and knew how to use them!!   Meanwhile, if the Governor is so afraid of guns, why does he have or need an armed security force?   As far as I know, there has not been a single case of gun violence in state buildings in Virginia.  May the Court of Public Opinion put a stop to this further erosion of our right to protect and defend us and what is ours.  Thank you.
