Hand Gun Ban Equals LESS Safety for Our Citizens

Everything that is approved/passed by a regulating agency today is done by "looking at the research numbers/data".

There is no significant data to support that the "state agency gun ban" would make the citizen's of Virginia any safer. In fact when one looks at the existing data the exact opposite is true.  Read John Lott's book More Guns Less Crime, or any other number of recent studies and you will find that the exact opposite to be the case.  If medicines  were evaluated by the FDA using the same apparent criteria, or lack thereof, to decide if medicines were going to be allowed to be prescribed by our Physicians I suggest very few, if any, would be available to the public.

I suggest that the current regulation makes us less safer rather than the intent to make us safer.

Disarming law a biding citizens does not make them safer because history proves that these same law-abiding citizens will be the only ones to follow the regulation and be in far more danger from the criminal/terrorist who most certainly will not abide by the laws or regulations.
