First; your little political stunt has encouraged my wife, my adult son, and myself to become new members of the NRA. Second; it has changed our family's spring break plans from Virginia Beach to Gatlinburg TN. I had also planned on having some customization done to my car at a local business while I was there. Third; I was instructed in firearm safety by my father (former Marine) and the Boy Scouts as a child. As a young adult I received further training in the US Army. After that, I was trained and qualified by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections in the safe and effective use of firearms. All of this combined with the many many hours of private training including range time should make me more qualified to carry a firearm than most police officers. I have also undergone background checks in the Army, to get my Ohio CHL, in nursing school, to get my nursing license, and for every job I have ever had as an RN including for the ODRC in order to work in a prison. Where, by the way, I received numerous death threats towards both myself and my family. I'm not the one you need to worry about and I will not be left defenseless. So, if for some reason I must travel through your state, I will do my best to not stop or spend any money and I will just simply open carry. On a side note: hopefully your time in office is limited and the good people of The Commonwealth of Virginia can elect someone with their best interest at heart.
