I have been a Va. state resident all of my life.  In the 44 1/2 years I've been alive I never been truly emabarrased of my state until now.  Mr. Herring has attempted to conceal his agenda by using "the safety" of the commonwealth has a smoke screen.  In 2014 the residency status of Va. was estimated at 8,326,289 people.  How many of those do you think never go out of state in a year?  My professional business, as well as my personal interests require me to travel out of state.  What about the safety of all those residents that must travel.  I strongly suggest that Mr. Herring's real reason for not renewing the reciprocity agreement is due to his liberal philosophy concerning gun control.  In the long run I predict that Mr. Herring would eventually see to it that no one in Va. would be able to carry a concealed weapon if he's given the opportunity.  However, I have a great plan.  If his interest is really for the safety of the Va. commonwealth, I think He and other gun control advocates should donate a percentage of their income to place armed security guards in our public schools and vulnerable public places.  How about rest areas? After all, that would go a long way in proving that his concerns are really for the safety of the commonwealth.  If his feelings are truly about safety, he should be wiiling to sacrifice.  Isn't that what he's demanding of us?
