concealed carry

In Arizona, citizens may carry weapons either open or concealed without a permit.  Initial predictions of a "return to the wild west" have proven false.  In the event of an armed attack on you, your choices are to run, hide, or fight.  I am too old to run, too fat to hide, and the only way I could fight would be by being armed.  Physical limitations prevent me from engaging in unarmed combat, but years of competitive shooting lead me to believe I might be effective with a firearm.  I might be shot first thing or be unable to shoot the attacker, but I would be no worse off for having a chance to protect myself and others.  Helplessly waiting for death has no appeal.
