Don't remove rights through regulation or executive action

Any time government is looking to fix a problem by reducing liberty, if the action should done, it should be done via legislative action through our elected representatitves. The proposed regulation and the current executive action restricting the carrying of firearms reduces liberty and safety. Another consideration is effectiveness - will the proposed legislation be effective? The available data says no. However, even if it were effective, the right to bear arms is should not be restricted. This principle is integral to the founding of our nation and its continuance. I oppose these proposed regulations and the current ban.
