I OBJECT TO YOU TAKING AWAY MY RIGHT OF SELF DEFENSE

This regulation should not be approved and the emergency regulation should be withdrawn.

Importantly, the Governor has no authority for this regulation.  Where is the due process prior to his eliminating an important constitutional right that all citizens possess.  If the General Assembly wanted the Governor to have this authority, they would have granted it to him explicitly, as is required constitutionally.

This proposed reguluation is an attempt to find an answer for which there is no problem.  This regulation will be endangering the lives of all who enter state facilities.  Disarming good citizens who are the only ones to obey this regulation is no way to make us safer. This regulation plays into the hands of the terrorists, violent criminals, and the criminally insane by disarming only law abiding citizens.  We have had no shootings in state agencies in Virginia and by this prohibition on those with a conceiled handgun permit, some like myself that have had threats against their family and themselves, is unjustfied and needlessly and recklessly endangers my family's and my life and other innocent victims.
