Board of Health,
Please work to uphold the standards for these clinics. While I do not agree with abortion, I feel that if someone chose this procedure, that they should have equal consideration for their health and should be able to go to a certified clinic that will not endanger them. These standards are for the protection of the women, and should not be seen as a hindrance in care that the so-called womens rights advocates say it is. These advocates against these standards are not advocates for women, but for the clinics and their clients dont want to be restricted by appropriate standards of care. Basic cleanliness, training, and adherence to standards actually protect the women in their care, and in turn would protect the clinic itself from law suits or other proceedings because of a lack of care. Maintaining these standards of care and cleanliness just makes sense for both the clinic and the patient. Why should we take away something that just makes sense for everyone involved" Thank you for your time and for listening to the opinions of the people. Diane Francis
