This Amendment is not in the best interest of students, schools, or teachers. The wording is vague and open to too much interpretation. Who would decide if something was "controversial?" If parents want that much control over their child's education then perhaps a home school, or private school is more appropriate. Educators are professionals and should be treated as such. If parents have concerns about what is being taught to their children they should bring that up with the teacher and school.
