I think it is shameful that health concerns are taking a back seat to political forces and that our state board charged with protecting our health is allowing itself to be used for this purpose. Regulations concerning clinics that provide abortin procedures should be those necessary to protect public health, not to prevent these clinics from operating. As much as many of us might like for it to be, abortion is not illegal. It has been ruled a constitutional right. Will the Board of Health become an instrument of political activity, imposing the morality of a few to take away the constitutional rights of women? Stand up for what is right and do not subvert health regulations to political issues!
