The quality and oversight of these Virginia nursing homes is just appalling. There should be some type of legal action taken against facilities with a history of negligence, assault, etc. They should have operating licenses suspended as well as Medicaid payments until they are compliant. No other sector of business would allow such treatment of human beings and we should definitely not allow it to our most vulnerable population. They are putting profits over people and it has had devastating consequences.
