Continuum of care interruption

Last fiscal year, RACSB served the following number of individuals in each of the impacted services:  MH Residential:  32 individuals; Kenmore (psychosocial) Club: 131 individuals; MH Case Management: 873 individuals.

Due to the limits in maximum hours of care for individuals receiving services, our individuals served can expect to see an 87% reduction in the hours of service eligible to receive, or an approximate reduction of 134 hours of care per month or 1,608 hours reduction of care annually per individual.

The proposed change will limit individuals to either mental health residential services or psychosocial services.  The elimination of one aspect of the services required for those with persistent or severe mental health conditions goes directly against the “do no harm or injustice” principle of the Hippocratic Oath.
