We must respect the dignity of all individuals. We’re raised in a society that teaches us to shun those who are not like us. There are no unfair advantages to trans athletes competing in sports and thereby enriching themselves with all the benefits sports offer. To then compel  trans individuals to use the restroom that will always serve as a reminder that they are not seen as human is outrageously cruel. The pain we inflict on the trans community is non-sensical. Understand the pain they have been caused. Learn from them. Venture to make friendships with them. Learn from them. They have stories, too.
