This is a problem that should have been forseen when the data centers were planned. The owners of the data centers should have paid sufficient taxes to allow for the requisite infrastructure, and the data centers should have paid Dominion Energy for the needed additional power generation capacity before the data centers were put into operation. Now, the data centers should simply shut down if there is insufficient power. The public should not have health impacts due to poor planning on the part of the data center operators. The problem belongs solely to the data center operators which may have to endure partial shutdowns.
