Proposed Continuing Education

I would recommend voting NO to this proposal. As a practicing professional engineer I believe actually practicing in my field is much more valuable than this proposed continuing education requirement. Maybe for those that aren't acutally practicing in the profession any longer and still wish to maintain certification, this could make some sense. But those of us who practice every day should not be burdened with this requirement. Why not ask for confirmation of actual practice OR this type of education in order to maintain a person's license? That kind of approach would make some sense to me. For those of us who have full time careers in the field this would be overly burdensome.

And thanks for asking for our input.
