Freedom of choice

A vaccine is a medical procedure. The right to choose our medical interventions is a right of this free country. It should not be mandatory for anyone to receive a vaccine, especially without exceptions for those with strongly held beliefs. Also, private schools who do not receive government funding should not be lumped together with the public school rules. If we allow the government to require this medical intervention, where do we draw the line? This virus can be bad but the majority of people who have it recover with no problems. And the vaccine does not prevent someone from spreading the virus. Isn’t that the point of mandating it? If the vaccine doesn’t stop the spread then why require  it? If parents or teachers are concerned about getting the virus then they can choose to be vaccinated. The parents who want their kids school to continue without interruption should be looking at the policies that are interrupting their kids education such as schools not following thr cdc guidelines and recommendations for things such as how long they suggest quarantine and what constitutes social distancing.
