Continuing Ed requirement is the law and not and option

It is hard to believe all my fellow engineers were not aware the the General Assemby enacted this requirement two years ago.  I believe the proposed rule is the best option.  It would be impossible for the board to dictate the types of training, content of training, etc. for all of the different disciplines of engineering being practiced.  As professionals we are fully capable of selecting the proper continuing education classes/training to be taken for our respective areas of practice. Kentucky is already implementing similar regulations for contining education for engineers. I already have to do it for my license there and this will be no additional burden

I have been an engineer for nearly 35 years and I still manage to find some training courses to take each year where this old engineer learns something new.
