Continuing Education Criteria for Professional Engineers

I am proud of my Virginia Professional Engineer designation.  And while I was actively practicing the profession, I was involved with furthering my understanding of the profession through courses and organizations.  However, I have now retired, and do not practice engineering in any business environment.  I still value putting the designation of "PE" after my name, however, and would like to do so in the future.  Please adjust the rulling to allow retired folks to continue to use "PE".

Other groups, like the ICCP organization has allowed retired folks to continue to use their designation after retirement without the need tor Continuing Education.

Thank you for listening.
