Ban Conversion Therapy

No one should have to go to therapy BECAUSE of therapy.  Those that are against the ban are stressing solely on personal religious belief.  Yet arguing against the ban would extraordinarily impact and damage those living with that which they have no control over.  If the argument is based on religion, then what other things will they aim to restrict next?

What needs to be realized is the inhumane and barbaric treatment that conversion therapy believes in.  Methods that divide families and cause irreparable damage, scaring others away from ever seeing counseling for more positive reasons, such as a battle against severe depression.

It is in my personal belief that this cruel and unusual practice cannot and must not be allowed to continue.  For the sake of the individuals that it truly affects, those who are placed in this radical and twisted methodology, the practice of conversion therapy must completely and permanently ended.
