Counselors are not in the “sexual re-orientation” business, but rather seek to help men and women grow in any area of their lives where they find a struggle. As counselors we must address the complex life experiences that each person brings through our doors. For the Commonwealth to determine what goals a counselor and client are allowed to have is a violation of the client's privacy and freedom.  This is an onerous and vague regulation that will ultimately injure Virginians.
