Senseless Gun Ban

The Governor's gun ban in executive building is neither a comnon sense regulation nor one that promotes safety.  First, the Governor has presented absolutely no evidence that he is reacting to a history of problems with armed citizens in executive buildings.  Second, the Governor attempts to punish law-abiding citizens with this regulation since they are the only ones who would obey this ban.  Third, the Governor does not propose any means to portect Virginians who have business at exectutive buildings from any perceived threat.  Does the Governor believe that some level of colleteral damage is acceptable in the cause of gun control.

Neither the Governor nor the Commonwealth of Virginia have nothing to fear from the honest, lawabiding citizens he attempts to punish.  Recent events in other states have shown that citizens armed for self-defense could have been a deterrent for senseless deaths.

This regulation shows that common sense is not all that common, especially in the executive branch.  This is a regulation that has no purpose other than to make a political splash.  I strongly urge this regulation not be adopted.
