There should be absolutely, I agree, more regulations on parents, being caregivers for disabled and developmentally delayed children. For there to be a proposal that parents are no longer allowed to be caregivers is overreaching. A simple, mandate, supposing further reviews and more oversight would be a simple solution without simply taking the child's parent as their caregiver away from them, who better to care for a special needs child? The familiarity of a parent being a caregiver helps in so many ways that you cannot even fathom for a child with special needs. This is absolute overreaching, and should be shelved.
