Chapter Information
Description Any alien sponsored by a public or private agency or organization shall be ineligible for General Relief for a period of three years following entry unless the sponsored alien can provide documentation that the sponsor no longer exists or is unable to meet the alien’s needs. The regulation provides a formula for deeming income of the sponsor as well as exceptions to deeming the income.

Goals of Regulation In certain situations, immigrants have sponsors. This regulation is intended to provide a method of determining the amount of income provided to such families from alien sponsors when determining eligibility for General Relief.
