Action Summary |
The board is amending Section 210 of its regulations to conform the requirements for registered nurse applicants from other countries to changes in the Code of Virginia. The amendments to 18 VAC 90-20-210 are made to conform regulations to Chapters 244 and 251 of the 2001 Acts of the Assembly, which mandates that foreign-trained nurses who have met the requirements of the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools and have had their application approved by the Board may practice in certain settings for a maximum of 90 days prior to sitting for the national examination. |
